The "Introduction to Equestrian Sports and Horse Riding" event, organised by the Coaching Education Department of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Hitit University, took place on 11 November 2025 at 5:50 PM in Lecture Hall A3.
During the introduction, conducted by representatives of our external partner, Atahan Equestrian Sports Club, comprehensive information was shared about the historical development of equestrian sports in Turkey, the main disciplines, and training processes. Participants were informed about the basic principles of equestrian sports, athlete-horse compatibility, training planning, safety rules, career and employment opportunities.
Throughout the programme, presentations on the place of equestrian sports within sports science, ethical approaches in coaching, and practical training opportunities were followed with interest by the students.
At the end of the event, students had the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge by directing their questions about equestrian sports to expert trainers.
